Yoga Wellness Retreat – ‘Just Breathe’

What if by managing your breath you could help reduce anxiety, stress and improve health and tap the body’s inner store of energy.
Our breath is our constant companion, it’s free, and the natural remedy for stress, anxiety and fatigue.
This will be a restorative day which is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.
Poor breathing habits make it harder for you to cope with stressful situations and certain breathing patterns can actually contribute to anxiety, panic attacks, muscle tension, headaches and fatigue.

The day will be mostly practical, but as we go we will look at our:
Breathing – since anxiety constricts and disrupts our breathing, breathing practices settle and calm your mind, helping us meet the challenges of the day. It can even be practiced sitting at your desk.

Relaxation Practice – Do you have anxiety episodes throughout the day? You will learn to relax and manage anxiety, helping you create distance from whatever is causing the anxiety.

Breath awareness – We spend so much time, energy and money trying to find ways to relax, unaware of the simple solution that resides within each of us. This is a simple technique with profound results that allow the body to rest, to become still and to release tension.

Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) – This practice will help you effortlessly let go of your anxious mind and disconnect from stress-producing thoughts and reduce tension in the body.

This will be a soothing and nurturing workshop using therapeutic yoga principles and mindfulness practices to soothe and heal the mind, body and breath. So start your year learning replenishing practices with the emphasis on relaxation and renewal. Participants will leave the retreat with a clearer focus, feeling revitalized and rejuvenated.
